Think Outside the Registry Box for Your Next Wedding Gift

July 28, 2017

My cousin’s wedding was two weeks ago. Each one of my dad’s siblings, he’s one of eight (!), and their families were there and even my 92-year old Grandfather traveled to Toronto for the special occasion.

We drank. We ate. We danced, (complete with an impromptu cousin’s revival of our 1996 synchronized dance performance to Real McCoy, “Run Away.”) Yes, we are that family and I’m very lucky. <3

With weddings on my mind, I was thrilled when one of my favorite sites, Gift in Time, asked me to share a few wedding gift suggestions from their collection of unique and artisan-made gifts.

When it comes to wedding gifts, Andrew and I typically give a monetary gift to the bride and groom. Of course, any newly married couple appreciates a cash gift, but I find we often give money out of necessity. Most registry items are purchased early for bridal showers and sometimes, selecting a gift off the registry can feel a little daunting.

That’s why I love the service Gift in Time offers with their off-the-registry gift packages. From specialty coffees and chocolates to luxe kitchen accessories, these gift-sets take the guesswork out of shopping for me and are sure to be a welcome surprise for any new Mr. and Mrs.

Colorful Culinary Set. This trio of goodies is perfect for the foodie couple who enjoy entertaining. The happy couple can stock their kitchen with luxe items they’ll use every day like natural Beeswax Food Wrap to keep food fresh and a gorgeous pair of garden stain tea towels.

The third item is an over-the-top treat – a chocolate bar made with 23 karat gold crumbs & crystallized rose petals. A fitting treat for a honeymoon escape. Top this set off by adding a delicious bag of small batch roasted Crowsnest Coffee which can be enjoyed on those first lazy Sunday mornings together as a married couple.

The Bitters Gift Set. Help the happy couple stock their bar with these handcrafted small batch bitters made in Vancouver, British Columbia. From Grapefruit & Hops to Plum & Rootbeer, these award-winning flavors take cocktail hour to the next level.

Your newly married friends will be inspired with flavorful and fresh cocktail recipes included in the gift-set. Recipes which are sure to impress their next dinner party crowd. Cheers!

Don’t forget to include a special congratulatory card. Peruse Gift in Time’s collection of boutique-style greeting cards and upload a personalized, handwritten message which will be printed on your selection.

The next time you are planning a gift for a family or friend’s wedding, keep these specialty gift-sets and lovely cards from Gift in Time top-of-mind mind for a truly unique off-the-registry present.

XO,

Emily
