Is there anything more nautical and classically chic than navy and white? Throw a monogram on it and let’s just call it a day and head for The Cape. 😉
For the next three months, there are three navy and white items in my closet that I will probably use every day. So versatile and timeless, they can be mixed and matched for a pulled together look whether it’s a trip to the farmer’s market, a day at the beach or dinner al fresco in town.
Straw Tote with Monogrammed Detail. Even better, how about a tote with water proof lining and designated pockets for your phone, sunscreen and a collection of sea shells?! This generous-sized straw woven tote from Thirty-One Gifts is the perfect size to easily fit a couple beach towels or a stash a healthy haul from the farmer’s market. I have to thank a dear friend of the family, Darlene, who is also a very kind and loyal supporter of my blog ventures, for gifting me this lovely tote that I simply adore. In addition to a fabulous bag, I love how Thirty-One Gifts empowers and supports women to own their own business and build a career on their own terms (all the #girlboss love!). This bag comes in two sizes: Dream Big Tote, shown here, and  Little Dreamer.
If you’re looking for a fresh special occasion gift idea, this tote would make the perfect housewarming, engagement, hostess, bachelorette gift by itself or coupled with a bottle of prosecco and a bunch of fresh flowers.
Navy One-Piece Swimsuit. This navy suit from J.Crew is anything but a boring one-piece. The white stitch detailing, tie shoulder straps and a deep “V” cut give it a sophisticated touch. Add a high-waisted linen pant (Asos, $48) and block heel (Target, $22.98) and you can easily wear this from beach to happy hour.
Silk Scarf. A colorful scarf is so versatile in the summer. From taming beachy fly-aways to adding a pop of color to a tote bag or dressing up a simple tee-shirt dress when worn around your neck, a silk scarf is so effortlessly chic and timeless. I love  collecting scarfs from my travels (like this Balmain scarf I found last summer at Celeste Vintage in Florence) or adding to my collection with bright patterns like these Italian-made silk scarfs from J.Crew.
Do you have a shared love for all things navy and white? 💙 If you have another chic summer essential, please share!
XO,
Emily
