Five Clean Beauty Products to Try Now

Little by little, the ingredient makeup of my makeup has become as paramount as the beauty product’s effectiveness. Questions such as “Are the ingredients plant-derived?” or “does this contain parabens?” are top of mind as I make a decision whether to purchase a new beauty item or decide what I’ll continue to use as part of my every day routine. Here are five clean beauty products including cruelty-free, plant-based and sustainable brands that I use regularly and are worth noting for those of you interested in mindful makeup and beauty selections.
Skin: Codex Beauty Bia Facial Oil. Benefits: Made from botanical ingredients like rosemary and rosehip, this oil is light and helps to hydrate, seal in moisture, firm and smooth the skin. Made in Ireland, it smells fresh and pure like you have a little bottle of magic from the Emerald Isle. Organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and a zero carbon footprint company. (I’m a fan of their entire Bia skincare collection including eye cream, day cream, daily exfoliant and superfood cream).
Lips: Pinch of Colour Waterless Lip Oil. Benefits: Formulated with plant- based ingredients like apricot, macadamia nut and avocado oils. Adds a sheer of color while it helps moisturize. Paraben-free, vegan and cruelty-free.

Base Makeup: Elf Poreless Putty Primer. Benefits: Helps grip makeup for all-day wear and has a velvety texture that helps smooth skin to achieve a poreless look. Vegan and cruelty-free.
Base Makeup: Makeup Obsession Bronzer Palette. Benefits: Provides a sun-kissed look with a combo of buildable bronzers and contour shades. Vegan and cruelty-free.
Eyes: Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect. Benefits: The fiber brush provides lashes with volume and sculpted length. Opthalmologically tested and cruelty-free.
