This is what 40 feels like. My birthday was Oct 7 so really haven’t been in the mood to share the filtered and light content I typically share here. I’ve been holding on this project I captured a month ago for the lovely team at @pivetshowroom. Content creation and Instagram have been such a needed creative outlet for me over the years and now have led to a full-time job doing it as a founder and business owner (pinch me - so beyond excited to share more updates soon on that), but sometimes we all just.need.some.space. For the real world stuff IRL. Looking forward to sharing more of the light-hearted content when the 🌎 feels a little less dark.

when your “work from home” space doesn’t cut it.

I finally enjoyed a productive work day thanks to @dayhousecowork in downtown Highland Park! From colorful pops of art curated by @laughlingallery to the thoughtful designated work zones to the new kitchen stocked with hot coffee. Other reasons I love @dayhousecowork : a lovely lactation/feeding room for parents, an enrichment room for kids for those frequent “no school” days, a calm and quiet work environment with social opportunities with fellow Dayhouse members (if you want/need that!), complimentary gift wrapping station, privacy phone booth, and so much more.

You don’t have to be going through a home/kitche

You don’t have to be going through a home/kitchen remodel to stock your mini fridge or freezer chest with these snacks.

If you saw yesterday’s post, you know we’ve been living through a home remodel and we’re one month in without a kitchen. Like some of you have mentioned, it’s kind of like camping!? Well, I’m not a camper lol. So with three hungry kiddos and my dietitian hat on, here are some of my go-to grocery store finds that are made with wholesome ingredients and are easily stored in a mini fridge or freezer. On the list:

@snacknwaffles waffles: first ingredient, organic whole wheat flour!
@Veggiesmadegreat: Egg protein + veggies. Heat and go. I grab two for a quick breakfast or snack.
@trufru: Fiber-rich raspberries with yogurt + whole grain granola.
@daisybrand cottage cheese with fruit: Packed with protein (as much as two eggs).
@quaker rice crips: whole grain crunchy snack that’s delicious (also gluten-free)
@horizonorganic: low-fat dairy protein plus a good source of calcium and vitamin D. Shelf-stable so I can add to my mini fridge as I have space.
@sunmaid yogurt covered raisins: Shelf-stable fruit option.
@cedarsfoods hommus singles: Plant-based protein that completes a snack with crackers or veggies.
