Best Beauty Products to Protect Against the Winter Chill
If you live in a cold weather climate, you know how important it is to stock up on skin-soothing products to re-hydrate your wind-blown skin and protect it from Mother Nature.
In Chicago, sometimes a windy street corner will take my breath away. It is the Windy City, after all. So in addition to a warm puffer coat, oversized sunglasses and all necessary winter accessories, I’ve amped up my beauty and skin regime to help protect and repair my dry skin and hair.
The new skin and hair repair products I am in love with right now:
Advanced Clinicals Serum, Oils and Creams. I’ll take a lifetime supply of everything from Chicago-based Advanced Clinicals, please! Their skin care line is packed with beneficial ingredients like Retinol, Vitamin C and Collagen to help with skin repair, anti-aging and hydration. My daily routine now includes the Retinol Anti-Wrinkle Serum and Coconut Visible Repair Oil which I also use on my cuticles and through the ends of my hair. I also use the Argan Oil Intensive Beauty Cream for face, neck and body and the Cracked Heel Rough Spot Cream is completely saving my pedicure-starved feet. I love the spa-like quality and noticeable skin results. Bonus, a little goes a long way with these products which are very reasonably priced (Most products are about $15).

Spongelle Body Wash Infused Buffer. This multi-use buffer sponge is made to cleanse, exfoliate, massage and nourish the skin and I can tell you it lives up to this description! Simply wet the sponge in the shower, squeeze it form a lather and use on your skin in a circular motion. I love how I can feel it exfoliate my skin, but leave it moisturized at the same time. The limited edition Freesia Pear fragrance is a really light and lovely scent and I imagine the other scents are equally luxurious and rich smelling. These are made in the USA (bonus!) and are hypo-allergenic.

Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment. I received this in the January Target Beauty Box and have been using it about twice a week ever since. In the winter, I rely more on dry shampoo and texture sprays to extend the life of my clean hair and avoid daily washings and heat treatments. By about day three, the product buildup in my hair becomes really noticeable. This lemon rinse helps to cleanse the cuticle, strip away that product residue and give my tresses a little shine boost. As an added bonus, it smells lemony and refreshing.

These are the new skin and hair products part of my daily routine to help keep my skin and hair feeling soft and healthy. What are your favorite beauty products to protect your skin and hair during winter months??

Emily
