My hubs, Andrew, and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary last Saturday. We had/have so much to be thankful for and celebrate over the last five years including two healthy kids, endless family trips and excursions, loyal and caring friends, and the every day life moments that make you pinch yourself to make sure you’re not dreaming. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not always peachy, let’s be real, but we’re enjoying the ride and laughing along the way.
So late Saturday, we got a bit dolled up and hit the town. A willing and patient photographer, Andrew captured my something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue-inspired look:
Something Old – Anthropologie tulle skirt. I snagged this on fall clearance a few years ago.
Something New – The Zoe Report’s Fall Box of Style black + white cape by Donni Charm and tassel bracelet. (Check out my review of the complete BOS here and visit this link to save $10 on your own box!)
Something Borrowed – The cutest little patent black purse with a gold chain handle that I found at a thrift store in Boston a few years ago.
Something Blue – I added a little blue faux fur ball + initial pendant from Em + John to give it a little edge.
A grainy i-Phone pic of us at Parachute, an INCREDIBLE restaurant in Chicago you must try! So good in fact that we didn’t even pause to snap pics of our gorgeous meal.
That’s a wrap! About a dozen small plates and one busted skirt zipper later, we’re outta here!
